Get information on free or low cost Illinois community clinics. Most of the clinics near you will serve anyone, regardless of their ability to pay for their medical care or hospital bills. Oftentimes a patient may be billed based upon their income, so they will only need to pay what they can afford to. However if a patients income is low enough then the medical care provided may be free.
The community clinics in Illinois target their services at people who have low incomes or who have limited or no health insurance. Health care can also be provided to people who have only government insurance, and private health insurance plans are also accepted.
Hundreds of clinics are located in towns and cities across Illinois. Below is a listing of dozens of the centers. In addition to those statewide resources, residents can apply for a discount card for their prescription medications. This is available across the state, and is offered regardless of your income or health insurance status. The card is distributed for free and can be used at hundreds of pharmacies in Illinois.
